Aleksandra Holmlund

MBA, M.Sc in Forestry. Swedish citizen, born and raised in Serbia. Aleksandra moved to Sweden with her parents at the age of 16. She has studied forestry at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and business at the Stockholm School of Economics. Aleksandra started her career in Africa as a volunteer at a forestry project in Gambia and worked some years with forestry issues in various developing countries. Later she joined IKEA as Forestry Manager for Scandinavia, Baltic and Ukraine. From 2003 Aleksandra has been running her own consultancy company specializing in timber trade issues in the Baltic and Central Europe as well as business development of SMEs in timber/furniture sector. Between 2007 and 2011 she worked as Forest Operations Manager at Forest Owners’ Company Norrskog in Sweden where she was responsible for all services to all 13 000 members and for harvesting, logistics and marketing of >1,6 million m3 timber per year.
