MBA, MSc in Forestry. Lithuanian citizen. Has studied Forestry at the Aleksandras Stulginksis University (former Lithuanian University of Agriculture), Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Business administration at the ISM University of Management and Economics.
Simonas started his carrier as forest manager being responsible for all forest operations and timber sales in a private forest company, where he got close hands on practice in private forest sector. Year 2004 he joined Swedish Sveaskog Company (Swedish state owned forest co, owns and manages 4 million hectares forest in Sweden, the largest European forest co) subsidiary in Baltic states – Sveaskog Baltfor. Company was entering Lithuanian market as part off all Baltic strategy to supply Sveakog`s internal and external customers. Volume of wood flow managed annually around 1 million m3. Simonas, as a country manager, was responsible to develop companies business in Lithuania from scratch, later joining projects in German, Byelorussian and Polish markets. Simonas speaks fluent Lithuanian, English and Russian, also basic Latvian and Polish.
